Nutrition PR - The Fat Panel
Objectives:
- Create a platform from which The Fat Panel can be heard.
- Create a debate about celebrity chefs' recipes, raising awareness of the high SFA content.
- Educate the public on how high some recipes are with regard to saturated fat and how they can make simple switches in order to cut saturated fat content but keep the delicious taste.
Strategy:
- Utilise the expertise of the Nexus-created, independent and credible panel of -The Fat Panel.
- Working with a dietician and a home economist, analyse content of recipes and propose healthier alternatives whilst maintaining delicious taste.
- Demonstrate the successful swaps to media via a blind taste-test.
Results:
- Results are still coming in and being evaluated but the story flooded the media, hitting 95% of national newspapers with news coverage detailing all key messages. Coverage is spreading internationally.
