- Raise awareness of CORDA as a heart and stroke charity.
Programme:
- Use a combination of public relations techniques to draw attention to the need for an MRI scanner to detect heart disease and stroke.
- Focusing on special 'record-breaking' fund raising events with media appeal - skate boarder's "John O Groats to Lands End record-breaking journey".
Results:
- TV coverage gained on ITV network - South/South East and Scotland; mass regional coverage and radio interviews.
- Nearly 5,000 raised in one month for the charity's Ben Stiff Fellowship Fund.
- Quarterly press seminars with 'selected press' only, resulting in on-going coverage with nationals & consumer media.
